Year 5 October Half term Maths Boosters

Focused on Problem solving and Maths puzzles

The goal is to help students grow as mathematicians by giving them the opportunity to apply their problem-solving skills to different maths puzzles:

Allows students to be challenged in an encouraging environment where they can work collaboratively with peers to solve challenging problems.
Filled with past papers, CAT tests, and logic puzzles, specifically selected to to extend their learning and improve mathematical thinking.

These sessions are structured as two sets of 3 day Boosters (Set 1 and Set 2), offered in two separate weeks. Each Booster is 3 sessions (1.5 hours long) over 3 days.

There are 2 sets of Boosters. The same content will be covered in each set.

Dates:
Monday October 21st - Wednesday 23rd 
Friday November 1st - Sunday 3rd
There is a 9:30 - 11am class and a 1:30-3pm class available both weeks.

 Booster Structure:
‍Day 1 - Approaching complex maths questions (NRich, Olympiad, Gauss, Kangaroo)
Day 2 - Logic puzzles and challenge questions
Day 3 - Escape Room Challenge
